Finally the EZ Connect panels are here

At first sight the EZ-Connect panels look very similar to our classic SW-37 ones. They are the same size and use the same 1/8" thick aluminum frame, polycarbonate glazing, and patent pending integral blackbody absorber plate. The big difference is in the way they are connected to each other. Instead of two 1/4" compression fittings there are 4 flare fittings, a male and female on each side. To connect the panels to each other you simply lay them next to each other and tighten the flare nuts onto the male fittings. That's it.

Once all the panels are attached to each other they are connected to the pipes that go inside the house with a set of fittings that we supply. You can either get the "standard" fittings kit, or one that includes an automatic air bleeder. These fittings kits contain two fittings that allow you to attach standard pipe to the panels, which means that with this system you can use any type of pipe you want to connect the panels to the tank and pump. You could use the appropriate PEX, but also standard 1/2" copper pipe, or even stainless steel "solar tubing".
The Bottom Feed Connector has also been modified so that you can attach standard pipe easily. Since it's generally far less expensive to buy the pipe locally our EZ connect kits do not include the pipe any more. This way you can choose the type.
We are now negotiating with a US manufacturer of heat exchangers and hope to be able to present a kit for a full glycol system in the near future.
